I’m Shelby — the face and heart behind Shelby Drake Photography. I am located just outside of Columbus, OH - photographing all around Central Ohio.
Photography has always been a huge passion of mine. Whenever I could have a camera in my hand, I did! I have been photographing families for about 10 years now, and weddings for around 6 years. I believe the most meaningful stories are told in the in-between moments: the laughter, the tears, and the glances that say more than words ever could.
I specialize in weddings and lifestyle photography with a style that’s timeless, romantic, and a little editorial. What I want for you when you look back at your photos, is that you not only see how beautiful the day was — you’ll feel it all over again.
I'm a sucker for a good family session. Capturing all the milestones. I am here to capture the real and the raw - The snuggles, the love, the grumpy faces, the goofy ones.
I like to explain my photography style as lifestyle - I will pose you, but I also want to just let you be you and have fun. I bring zero stress to my sessions and do my best to make it the least most stressful for you also.
Outside of photography, I’m a mom, love a good morning on my porch with a coffee, and we are usually knee-deep in a house project or two.
For me, photography isn’t about stiff posing or perfection. It’s about connection. I want you to feel comfortable, and completely yourself — because that’s when the most beautiful, authentic images come to life.
